Choose notes and press Start. After four count-in clicks, play the displayed note on the indicated string, one location per click, from low string to high. Find the frets yourself; fretflash does not check your playing.
BPM & Frets: tap a number to type, swipe up/down, or hold +/−. Fret 0 is the open string.
Spoken cues: hear the next note one click before you play it. Switch on or off during a drill.
Pause to change tempo. Resume continues; Restart starts the same round again. Stop returns to setup.
More controls
Targets: One per string lets you choose any matching fret in range. All in range means every matching fret, lowest first, before moving to the next string. Unavailable strings and notes are skipped.
Notes are shuffled once per round. C# and Db remain separate prompts. After finishing, Repeat keeps the order; Shuffle changes it.
Strings & Tuning: select strings and their open notes. Custom tuning takes 6 or 7 space-separated notes, low to high, using # or b. Changing tuning selects all strings.
Keyboard: outside controls, Space starts, pauses or resumes; after finishing it shuffles. Escape closes a menu or exits the drill.
Offline: open once online before practising offline. Install from your browser menu, or Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone/iPad. Stop the drill before choosing Update.
